Life of Jesus Scripture Pages

One day I ran across some kids Scripture journal ideas for those of the LDS faith.  I loved the idea of them, but since our Scriptures differ, I wanted to find a version more conducive to our own beliefs.  I searched and searched and found none.  There are pages for just about every other faith out there except ours.  This saddened me greatly.  Why are we the only ones (it seems) who don't care about instilling faith, knowledge, Bible study, and Scripture memorization in our kids from a young age?

So I set out to make some pages for my own kids to work on.  I want them to learn to study their Bible, even if they are young, especially because they are young.  I want them to desire to know God more through studying the Scriptures.

This is the first set of what I hope to be many more study topics.  What better place to start than a general overview of the life and works of Jesus!  There are 3 printable timeline pages that can be cut and taped, or glued together to fold out of a 3 ring binder.  The first 9 topics have separate links for the questions and worksheets.  The first couple of question pages have ideas as to where to fill in the answers for each question (they are also hand drawn, don't worry the pages get better with each one!).  Further along, I'll leave it up to the child as to what they want to write in each box.  A few worksheets have an A and B option.  The A page is more difficult and requires more writing.  The B page has more fill in the blanks and is more friendly towards a younger child.  As I got more acquainted with making pages, I began to just make 1 worksheet per topic.  The last 10 topics only have 1 link, and there should be 2 pages that pop up.  One page is the questions, the other is the worksheet.

I encourage you to do a page along with your child!  Be creative and add doodles and fun things all over the page.  Use colored pencils, markers, or crayons.  Decorate it and make it special.  Help your child to really think through not just the basic questions, but what each passage means to them, and why it is important to our walk with Christ!
